Personally i think its not too bad of a deal then with the locker, also consider that you would have to resetup the gears when purchasing this type of locker so that would be even more money. People can say what they want about finding better deals but even if you say bought one from a junkyard for $150 and then bought a $250 Aussie and even a $50 diff guard you would still have the same amount of money in it. As far as adapters go that is no big deal and would be required of a junkyard axle. For the driveshaft all you need is the flange adapter, and you can search and find ways to rig up the parking brakes. Believe me I come from experience, i just put an 8.8 in my yj, and getting the parts to fix one yourself really adds up.

My exact thoughts, because sure its a good deal but. Its one that you wont find for a long time. As for gears its all ready setup for the gears i have 4.10s. So its basically a direct swap (of course i need new perches) but i think i might do it then

Well i found out the axle was under a oldsmobile Bravada, and the locker has less than 500-600 miles on it, He still has all the wiring for it, switches and original box. He also said the diff cover was homemade(of 3/8s or 1/4 inch)

Dude, it is great to see young people getting involved. I am very impressed with what you started with and what you ended up with. Very well done! You should be very proud!

Cheers!

Well since my rough country springs are sagging i think im going to bastard pack the rear(RC springs plus stock) and plan on doing waggys up front. But im not sure weather i would have steering issues with a inch or 2 streach.

Putting some stock tires on for the winter
And found some one local with 4 RC 2.5 lift springs for 100 to fix my saging problems
