Lookin good man. If you were closer I would definitely be willing to help you out. I hope to be doing my XJ engine swap sometime so when I do finally get it done you can have first dips on any 4.2 parts you need to get yours going. I really wish I lived closer.

Your crazy, if i wanted a 4.0l i would sell mine. And thats what might happen when its done. Everyone thinks that a 4.0L swap is easy and its not.

Thanks, Yeah i could use the help. If i were to take your 258 i would take it straight to the junk yard, because i will never go back to carb after

haveing fuel injection

UPDATE

Here is a picture of the blacktub powerwashed. So clean i could eat off of it. My dad said i could get the paint and paint the fire wall. So i might be able to give you a sneak peak of what the color looks like

Here are the fuel and brake lines. I made new brake lines and cleaned up the old fuel lines. I reused the fuel lines because JEEP made amazing stainless

steel fuel line. They were really dirty but i used some paint thinner and it cleaned right up. And you wouldnt know that they were reused fuel lines if i

didnt tell you. I will get a pick of the fuel lines off of rusty red and you would think that they are rusty. NOPE they cleaned right up to so if anybody wants

to buy stock fuel lines that are in good condition. PM me

SO shiney. I also mounted the fuel filter but not in the pics

We had to cut part of the frame off to get the power steering bracket and gear box of. My dad and I also got alot of the wiring off the

firewall and getting ready to take the motor out. Took the bump stops out

I ordered a clutch and pressure plate from riley auto parts for $125

Tomorrow Im going to be doing some more sand blasting, fix the gas tank skid, and transfer case skid. Ect

Thanks

dude, that blue is great. Those brake lines did clean up really nice. All this and the Surf Jeep restoration with that CJ are making me wish I had done a frame off.

Sorry. I thought I saw brake lines as well as fuel lines. Since you actually have a color and name hopefully your's will go better than mine and you won't be mixing in black to darken up the color. haha.

My dad and I breaking the body mount free with torch and impact

Trying to get the rusty body mounts out. Major PITA

Started to lift up and this happened, body started to fold like a pretzle

Getting it picked up with a Hydraulic hoist/crane on the back of a f350. Made the body getting off real easy

I look kind of funny because i was yelling at my Dad

Body is separted FTW

Power washed the motor a little more and then hoisted it in the Jeep

This what happens when you have too much rust the body folded under. O Well its going to the scrap yard any ways. This is the reason i didn’t want to fix this. lol

Me putting some bolts in the skid plate holes to clean out the threads from paint.

Tomorrow I’m going to take the axles out and sand blast them and paint the axles and skidplate Thanks

Thanks. I sure will.
Positive comments are a big motivation. Thanks everyone.
I cant belive that it has come this far

Me sand blasting the rear axle

Got my rear corner guards not to bad for $130 shipped. They even fit really good

Even come with the cutouts for reartail lights. I have decided to paint them the body color.

The clutch kit

Some parts i painted

Skid plate I painted and my dad help fix it.

Rear axle under there and ready to go

Tranny mount my dad had laying around. Who knew a tranny mount from a 4.2L I6 with the TF999 would fit a 2.5L I4 with the AX-5.
Brand New and Free Thanks dad

Better pics to come. The pictures look messed up late at night

Thanks
