My YJ Build Thread
Since I am bored right now I decided to make my own built thread so I can just keep adding to my own thread and let everyone see all my progress in one place.
These first 2 pics are of how i got it back in April of 2005. Bone Stock   From there i slapped some 31s on:  Then I made the stupid decision on puttin 2" Lift Shackles that made my springs sag quickly  Added SRC front bumper, removed shackle lift, added 1"body lift, added hoodmounted hi-lift jack and Cragar Soft 8 wheels removed sidesteps  Did CJ-7 tailgate conversion but i dont have pics of that right now Herculined   And thats about where I am now Next to come is: Rear Bumper/Tire Carrier BDS 2" Lift Kit 33x10.5x15 Tires Cut shackle lift down to 1" and reinstall Rocker Guards Roll Cage Add-ons Winch Body Armor and Skidplates New Seats Distant Future Plans: Spring Over Axle Slip Yoke Eliminator CV Type Driveshaft V8 Engine Swap I will edit this thread as I do more work on her

Why did the 2" shackles make your springs sag?
 Awesome project and very nice looking Jeep, btw.

the liner was about 80 bucks at walmart i believe

when i did mine i used less then a half gallon, then the rest just turned to rock inside the container. i should have used more though, cause it started to wear through.
NICE jeep btw! looks almost weird to see that sweet lookin bumper on such a tiny jeep |

I got the roll on kit that had a gallon in it. the two recomended coats took less than half a gallon so i put 4 coats on and that used most of what was left.

I have a question for those of you who use herculiner: How much louder is the vehicle with the herc instead of carpet?

i havent noticed any difference. i ran the factory carpet before i did the liner then i ran with out the carpet after the herc was done and i didnt notice any difference. out of curiosity i put the carpet in over the herc and i noticed a little bit of a difference, but not enough to keep the carpet in

i never really ran carpet since i bought the jeep anyway... first "mod" i did was to remove the carpet and drain plugs. besides it's a jeep. i'm not shooting for a quiet show car.
