My stock YJ with 33s

Here's what my YJ looks like with no lift and 33's, for all of you non-believers. I'm still lifting it, but they clear with no rub and IMO look pretty good right now. What do you guys think?

I have a hard time believing you don't bottom out when you hit a bump. That rear tire looks like it's got about 1/4" before it hits. Get the lift put on and return the fender flares!

If you need to watch out for speed bumps in your jeep with 3 to 4 inches of tire clearance then you're doin something wrong

There isn't an inch of clearance between the rear tire and the tub.....

no rub?

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Heck, I rub 33's on OME 2.5 r36 springs with 3/4" shackles, TJ flares and cut fenders - just by turning at intersections too fast.

I know you said you're lifting it still, but that is not what we call a 'no rub' setup.

Good luck if you hit a pothole going the speed limit, or hitting a speed bump at anything quicker than a crawl.

looks stuffed... i dont like it. but hey its your jeep and youll figure it out the first time you go to flex an rip a fender off or the corner of your tub. Oh wait you though that your tires stay centered of your fender opening when you flex out on the trails... my bad my bad

all jokes a side I think most people probably dont mean you cant... I think they mean you shouldnt. just like you shouldnt put 33's on a non lifted YJ

Why not just hold out 'til after the lift? There are plenty of broke/college jeeper builds on the forum. It's just odd you did it completely contrary to logic and common practice.
