my newly spring overed YJ (with pics)

just got done with my spring over, stock springs, 5/8" lift MORE shackles, no track bars, all i need is to get my shocks mounted up...

[IMG][/IMG]

the left front tire is like 3.5 to 4' in the air

left rear tire close to 4' as well

[IMG][/IMG]

not quite full flex, i have my front shocks hooked up temporarily on the factory sway bay mount, so i only have like 3-4" of up travel... its getting fixed this weekend

thanks!
nick

let me know what you think

Try hosting them with photobucket or similar. If you're using the image manager here, I believe the size limit is pretty small.

i spent $75 on the spring perches. i had a dropped pitman arm from my 4" lift, and the track bar brackets from my 4" lift. so i used both of them. the tires i traded straight up for my 33s and the welding and fabrication was done by me, i used the u bolts from my lift and my factory spring plates. i extended the brake lines by moving the brake lines down. so it wasn't really all that expensive, just time consuming.

8.8a axle swap and roll bar are next. the front bumper was built by me and my buddy, i built the tube flares and rocker guards custom by myself. i'm pretty proud of how its turning out..

Hey man if you could let me know about how you're doin your front shocks. I damaged and bent mine this weekend because of too much flex and being too close to the rough stuff spring plates. Time to modify the factory mounts. I now have no compression on my recent skyjackers because of this. Thanks.

BTW looks good and I love all the home brew stuff!

Better build a traction bar maybe at the same time as the 8.8 swap.
