Thanks jeffro

So this weekend I am going to have to do some repairs on the jeep, wheel bearing hub assembly is shot on my drivers front and the rear main is leaking pretty good. Also need front pads and gonna go ahead and change the fluid in the tranny to 10w-30. Hopefully I will get everything fixed on it.

Also was talking to my mechanic friend and he has recently gotten the tools to do gears. Im pretty excited about that cause he will help me free of charge pretty much.

So this weekend thanks to a friend of mine, got the jeep fixed. Replaced the rear main and after doing one I must say they aren't that bad to do, plus it saves a lotnof money. Also got the axle hub/wheel bearing, it was do bad it actually slung out 2 of the bearings. Jeep runs great now.

So its been a while since i have updated, going through a divorce so thats fun. Pretty broke right now but i did manage to find a 95 dana 30 with the matching 3.73 gears that i have in the 8.8, only 150. So i have cut off the springs and just gonna clean it up and throw it in. Finally have 4wd again.

Nice start. I cleaned up my D30 a month ago while doing some maintenance on seals.

So a little update, i have replaced the upper and lower ball joints and cleaned up the axle got a coat of paint on it. Still need to replace the axle u-joints and put those back in and replace the vacuum actuator. Then i can throw it in and have 4wd again. I also scored a set of full hard doors for $100 and full cj soft doors with the double window for $100. THe full doors need a little work and the soft doors just need the latches. Also bought a new header and need to put that in and replaced my cavi seats with some vinyl seats, nothing special just something to hold me over till i can get some new bestop seats. Well thats it for now, hopefully the next time i update i will have some pics and some offroad shots.

surprisingly they are pretty good. The acceleration is decent in town and on the high way i can get up to about 80 but the hills are still pretty ruff. but for a daily driver it does pretty good, good enough for the time being, until i go soa with 37 s and ill probably go to 4.88

So finally got around to putting in a new header this past weekend. I got it from rockauto.com and it was 175 shipped unpainted. So I used that rustoleum high temp paint. So the install took Mr and a friend about 6-8 hours can't remember exactly but it pretty much took all day Saturday. But went on with no problems. It sounds so much better and quieter, there is definitely a power gain and a slightly better fuel economy. All in all I am very satisfied with it.

Next I still and working on the Dana 30 hopefully get that installed next month and then a mml will be the next purchase. Then I can throw on the mml and body lift on at the dame time.

Wow... that's a long thread, timewise. Glad to see you are still flogging away on the old Heep. Keep it up, it's a damn fine looking example.

I'm getting started on my own build, and had planned to go in a few stages, but it seems to have gotten entirely out of hand.

Anyway, good luck with the thing, I'll be looking to see more from you...

Yea i have been building it for a while, but its also my dd so i have had to take it slow, and i was married and that pretty much halted the build, now that im single again the build is back on.

So sadly as some of yall know, i got into a wreck with the jeep, front end damage, busted motor mount, bent leaf spring, and whole in the radiator. The fenders and grill are bent up but the hood is still fine and of course my bumper, bull bar, hella lights and maybe winch took most of the blow not sure if the winch still works. So insurance totaled it so with the money i will be getting Im gonna get an xj, and rebuild the yj. It may be slow because im thinking about going ahead and upgrading where i can, gonna replace the motor mounts with brown dog 1" mml, stock radiator has been fine so ill just get another, new leaf spring from RE, and im thinking of making the big purchase and getting some metalcloak overline fenders. Plus i still have the the other dana 30 to put in, so thats the build plan for the next few months. It will be a slow process but hopefully when done it will be better than before

Alright, So i got a 96 cherokee, 4.0, 5sp, with 126k, for 2400. That will be the new dd after i fix the death wobble that it has. It has a 3" lift but needs some tires hopefully thats all thats all it need.

Back to the yj, i have a new radiator and brown dog 1" mml on the way. I have been searching craigslist for a new fender and grill. Will just have to deal with no bumper for a while till i can afford a new one.
