Well I was going to get the pictures up today after i did some work on it, but since it still did not start after i replaced the spark plugs and wires, distributar cap and the pin inside. So i had to take it to a shop to get the problem diagnosed. It is starting but will not turn over. Hopefully by the end of the week i can get them up.

So last weekend I decided to finally put the 8* shims on the rear axle and man that turned into a major pain. So I went to take the rear tires off and one of the studs decided to break and immidately a step behind. So what I thought would be the hardest part, drilling out the shim, was the easiest. After the shims were drilled I put them in and started to bolt up the u-bolts. Then one of the bolts crossthreads and I have to cut it off and go get another one to replace it. So after that I had to put the new stud on and torqe everything down to specs. The work was worth the payoff because I know have no vibes at all and it rides smooth. I was gonna take some pics but was too busy.

So last night, or more like this morning, I was awoken at about 3:30 am. My sister's boyfriend decided that since he has 4wd, he can go mudding. Well my sister decided to poke and prode at him until he decided to show her his truck is awsome. So when I get a call at 3:30 it is to come rescue him. So I load up my tow ropes and went less that a mile down the road(there was a trail in the new subdivision in my neighborhood). So After about a half an hour of pulling and winching, I got him out. No damage to my jeep, just a little dirty. His truck had a busted tail light and a major blow to his ego.

Nissan titan + street tires + raining + inexperienced driver = Being rescued by a jeep.

Since I did not have a camera I only have some pics of my jeep in the morning

I hope you send him a cleaning bill!

JK, I can't count how many times I had to have my bone stock S10 Blazer pulled out of stuff.

Yeah, I will try to do that this afternoon.
As for the cleanup, I planned to herc my tub in a couple of weekends so that is not that big of a problem, he does owe me though. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't raining and 4 in the morning.

For the shims install, pretty easy.
1. Jack up the rear axle, remove tires, and put the axle of jack stands
2. Lower the springs from the axle, by loosening the ubolts(Give each nut a couple of turns and move to the next and do this till you can remove the old shim)
3. Take out the old shim, and drill out the new one(It will take a big bit not sure exact measure ment)
4. Place in new shim with the thick end facing towards the t-case.
5. Tighten the spring back into place and then repeat for other side.

It is pretty easy if you take your time and do not run into problems.

Only pics I have are of them installed.
By the way, I ordered the shims from rubican express, since that is the brand lift I am running. About $40, but no more vibes.
