My 91 YJ project

Since i'm sort of new to this forum and this is only my second post i figured i would post a few pictures of my 91 YJ from what it looked like when i bought it and what it looks like now.

These are a few shots i got the night i brought it home, picked it up for 1700$ from a guy in windsor. Its a 5 speed with a 2.5L, the reason i got the 2.5 is because i was looking for better gas milage then my truck.

And then these are some shots after i did enough body work to last me a life time and then i through a fresh coat of dodge charger red.

And then the finished product...

But that wasn't enough, so it got 31" tires a total of 6" of lift and i built my own custom fron't bumper. And i Also made the 2" lift shackles and sway bar quick disconects.

Does any one know why is only shows a link? And not just an image or the clickable thumb nail.

Well see i have these same pictures posted the same way on another forum and it works fine, thats what gets me. Is it some thing i did or do you need to do some thing different to post pictures on the forum?

I can't see your photobucket pics right now since my work servers firewall blocks PB pics.

Anyway, are your 2" lift shackles ~4" longer than stock (which stock shackles are ~4" bolt hole to bolt hole) ?

If so, that would make your 2" lift shackles ~8" long.

IIRC, you need to have at least 50 posts before pics will be seen here. The system automatically converts them to links till you have a post count of 50 & higher. Others who have 50+ posts can post pics for you by using the reply with quote option.

Ah..thanks much apreciated. And yes my shackles are 7 3/4" long but that is only aprox 3" total longer then stock. It lifted the jeep about 2" give or take. Now what ive herd is the 2" longer give you 1" of lift but because of the desing of the jeep and the way the axles sit you can get away with about 3" longer to get your 3" of lift. I drew this all up on auto cad to figure out all of my numbers before hand because i didn't want rediculously long shackles.

You also should fill out your profile with your Jeep's specs. It'll help in the future.
