The panel where my switch is for my Rear wiper has room for (2) additional rectangle switches. I guess for options I don't have, it made a perfect spot for the KC switch and leaves room for one more when I get some bumper lights.
I drilled the correct size hole in the plastic and mounted the switch. Next I mounted the Relay and ran the wiring through the Firewall in a existing Rubber boot on the driver side of center. I drilled a 1/4" hole and then forced the wiring through it. It made for a tight fit.

I ran the Driver side wiring up through the factory hole where the wiper motor wiring goes. I used a piece of solid wire to fish the wire up through the dash. The passenger side didn't have a hole so I drilled a 1/2" hole and fished the wire up in the same manor as the driver's side. For now I just ran the wires under the cowl seal, I will eventually run them out the face of the windshield, but I want to find the proper grommets for water tightness, and today I didn't have time to run around looking. I also instlled the "1 and only" KC sticker that it comes with. This makes me a little unhappy I wanted one for each side. I guess I will get another when I get more lites.

I have kids Basket Ball practice this morning so while everyone was getting ready I put some of the stickers that I had on. If all goes well I'm going to replace the self drilling screws on the front of my hard top with speed nuts after we get back.

Yes Relay is mounted under the hood. Wiring goes through firewall to under dash where u can get to it. Lower the windshield and you will see where the wiring comes out for the Wiper motor and just follow suit. You can either run the passager side wire up with the driver side wires and run along the space between the windshild and dash or drill a hole on the pass side as I did and run wires up through the pass side dash. I ran the wires to the lights under the windshield and they come out between the tub and the cowl gasket. I will change this later when I find the proper grommets for a finished look. I will take a pic later today and show you where the wire comes out. To answer your question there is no way the "hide" the wires if you don't drop the windshield.

wow that was easy, I just cracked open and loosened every single torx head bolt needed to drop it, with the torx bit, a open ended screw driver, and vice grips on the handle.

WOOT WOOT!! Lights may go on today!! Just in-time for a wheeling trip tomorrow.

No working on the Jeep today. The family and I just went for a trail ride in the Arkansas National Forest. It rained and then got to around 10* for about a week. All the waterfalls were froze. We don't get to see that often around here.

Look at the pics of taking the windshield down. The EZ-out is the Drill bit looking item stuck in the bolt. It has reversed spiral flutes that grip the bolt and back it out. When you lefty loosey the EZ-out it digs in deeper in the bolt.

I like your nra sticker...Ive got one on my windshield...and a ar15 bolt face sticker. If your in to ar's or ak's try out ar15.com its a great website. They have a section for just about every kind of gun under the armory tab, so check it out. The jeep looks awesome.
