You noticed my 1st love (besides Wife ) GUNS. It is a Glock 27 w/ XS Big Dot sights, LaserMax Internal Laser, and Pierse Mag Extentions. I normally dont wear it working on the Jeep, I just got home from work and wanted to pull the sway bar real quick and my Wife caught me working on the jeep. She got a new Camera, I got the old one thus all the Work pics.

That's not bad.

I'm considering taking mine in sometime to a local guy that'll do it for $200 if I pull the tranny myself when I do my engine rebuild.

Is the $200 for Labor only? It looks like its going to be around $200parts & $200-$300 Labor for me. He said it would take him a Day to do the rebuild. $300 / 8 = $37.50 a hour..... I thought about trying it my self, but I would rather work a Saturday of OT and have him do it. I make a better Electrician than Mechinic.

I rebuilt mine a couple of weeks ago. $160 for parts, and it took me only 7 hours going slow with a friend looking over my sholulder. That is with putting a carrier on backwards adn having to repress one bearing. But i would not attempt this with out access to a 20 ton shop press, bearing splitter and parts washer.

That makes me feel better about my price. I'm sure they are makeing $30-$40 off the parts and I dont have access to a press.

I put the clutch in tonight and hoping I get the transmission back tomorrow.
105lbs torque on the flywheel bolts plus 60 degree extra and 40lbs on the pressure plate bolts. Why 60 degrees extra? I don't understand this. why not just torque it to 109lbs?

I got the Transmission and T-case installed tonight. Thankfully my Brother-in-Law had no plans or I ruined them, but anyway he helped me get them up and bolted in. Also a pic of the New bracket to replace the broke one. I also changed the cowl seal back to the old one due to the poor fit of the new one.

Help Help Help

I posted this as a separate thread earlier with no luck. I hope one of you guys that are watching this build will chime in. I can't get the line loose that come from the Clutch master to the Slave. The short piece you see is the old Slave line that I cut when I was pulling the Tranny, I figured I would get it loose later. It is later! Does it take a special tool? I need help this is what is going to keep me from getting done tomorrow. The (2) Parts houses I have called don't seem to know.

I tried one like that to no avail, but I think I will buy a set and try some others.
