We have a Mule 4x4 Diesel at the fire department that we use for work around the stations, details, and large incidents or Haz-Mat scenes that require a lot of hauling. It is a WORKHORSE and strong as all get out. We have the second row seating for hauling personnel in addition to the bed, but I think if you eliminate the second row, you can keep the longer bed option. Another neat design it has that I don't know if the others do or not is the air intake is routed through the roll cage and it is up high (the roll cage section is the actual intake tube). The rest of the system is sealed so if you happen to get into any high water, you are covered. Thought that was a pretty neat design feature to think of. Integrated Warn winch and some other bells and whistles. Kaw has really thought out some good things for the Mule line.

I love my RZR, and they now offer many more power/suspension options from the factory, than they did when I bought mine. However a nice Jeep CJ/YJ is just as cheap and more versatile.

I agree as far as driving & 4wheeling, but I am looking for ease in working around the home place. I have used my neighbors Mule a bunch & it is so much easier getting in and out of working (Chainsaws, fence building, ,moving rocks, gardening, etc...) I will keep the YJ unless I get a decent price. I just dont want to tear it up hauling tools and such around.

I think I also may sell the 1947 CJ2a. I dont see myself ever restoring it. After I get done with the 3b I dont think I will want to tackle another for a Long time.

I looked at the Mule 4010. I do like the way you can swap from 2 seater to 4 .

Then you DON'T want a RZR, a Ranger yes, RZR NO. Not easy to get in and out of quickly, and now load capacity, and very little bed room.

I use mine to trim the trails, but the chain saw doesn't fit well with out adding some kind of a box, and the bed (I you want to call it that) is only rated for 300 pounds. The setting position is great for low CG wheeling, but climbing up and out, or down and in, isn't the easiest thing.

Well the YJ is gone. Sold today. So I guess I will have more time to spend with "Ray". I did get a Ranger 900XP. Love it! I'm also gonna clear some trees and build a pond behind the house. I have had a great time with the Build and have enjoyed meeting all if you guys along the way. So stay tuned to the Ray build, I will get back to it pretty soon. I will post on here ever now and again to keep it going. I hope it is a good reference for any one building a YJ in the future.

I need some opinions and maybe a taker.... I've got the opportunity to buy back another 10acres that my Grandpa sold back in the 80's that adjoins my pasture. I've always been told you only get one chance to buy land once in your lifetime. My Grandpa sold this part of the old homestead in 1981 ( i live on the rest) , so it is pretty important to me. (More important than a Jeep). So I may need to raise some capital. I figured I would come here 1st. Is there anyone on here that might be interested in taking over "Ray"
All that is left is T-case rebuild and body. Engine is rebuilt and setting on a stand. If you are following this thread you will know what has been going on with the build. I'm not going to try and make money, just get back my material cost (not my time) Pass this along. I would like to see it passed on to someone who would do the same as me. Reminder I named the Jeep after my Grandpa!! By the way, I'm not getting rid of Dorothy.
