That would have gone for about $2K in the NW.

I hope you didn't tow it home with that chain you have on the front.

Fairly certain the brackets on the front of the bumper are from a tow bar, but yes, I agree with ya, hopefully he didn't tow it home with that chain.

First off thanks for all the kind words and well wishes.
Yeah it was a deal but I know the owner of the shop and he is not into selling used cars so he wanted it out of his parking lot. I am pretty sure he got the Jeep for free or near free.
Forgot to mention it also has Bestop Trailmax Pro seats and a Rugged Ridge locking console.

Yeah it had a rusty duel exhaust on it.

They are chopped stock TJ flares and I just cut the fenders to match.

The rust is pretty minor for a 20 year old New England vehicle. Road salt is killer up here.
Some of it will stay black. I already painted the front fenders and tailgate Black Rustoleum Hammered. I also have PSC Rocker Knockers and Crusher Corners that will be going on also painted Black Rustoleum Hammered.

You are right about the brackets, I towed it home with a tow bar. I used the chain as my saftey chain.

I'm surprized nobody else caught this. The BA was used from 87-89 behind the I6. The AX15 was used 90 and up behind the I6.

At any rate, that is an awsome deal.

I am aware of when the ax-15 tranny was offered in the YJ. That is why I was surprised to see the original tranny had been replaced with one.

The guy I got it from picked the Jeep up to part out and really didn't know much about it.

Well, you have not seen this Jeep driving for a while. I live in Chester but I got it from Dom of Dominec's Auto and Jeep repair in Hampstead, NH (shameless plug)

Ok, does anyone have an idea of how much lift the Jeep had when I got it?
Those are 31x10.5 on stock alloys. It also had extended end links, a t-case drop, and track bar brackets.

Got a lot done this weekend. I stripped out the interior early Saturday morning and started on the body work.
Here is a pic of the stripped out Jeep.

This is what I am starting with.

I bent up some patch panels with mi new 18" sheet metal brake. Definately worth the 28 bucks I paid for it.

Patches welded in and the whole area cleaned up.

Seat belt area all boxed in and the new seat belt mont welded in.
