muffler specs?????

I have a 90 YJ daily driver with a 4.2. I'm replacing the tailpipe and noticed the muffler is not far from disintegrating due to rust. When it comes to getting a replacement at various parts stores they all list the "direct fit/replacement" with different sizes. Anywhere from a 2'' to a 2.25'' inlet that is either centered or offset. And a 2" to a 2.50" outlet that is either centered or offset. 13" to 19" in length. They all seem to vary per store. The muffler on it now is a dynamax and no one can seem to match it. Does anyone know the factory specs/sizing that I can use as a starting point to find a replacement?

Thanks in advance for you help.

I just put my Flowmaster back in my jeep. It has a centered inlet and an offset exit if that helps. If you pick a muffler that is similar an exhaust shop can make it work.

Have you measured what is left of your old one?
