Mud

I took the jeep out Sunday to play and get a few more breakin miles on the stroker and the motor did great. This is like driving a totally different rig compared to the old 2.5 , although I am going to have to get used to only having 4 gears now. Of course I found a good mud hole and buried it and while I was winching it out I realized that I never hooked the rear axle vent tube after putting the tub back on. Drove it straight home and started hosing everything off and sure enough the entire axle was packed with mud. Drove it 3 or 4 miles home , I'm hoping that I can pop the cover and maybe diesel spray everything out. Anybody got a better idea?

You're right on track. Open her up. Let her drain overnight. Clean, seal and refill.

Got the mud off and cover off , no mud visible but found open vent hole in top of left axle tube. Think I can flush it from hole or should I pull axle?
