Mounts not lining up

I am trying to set a 4.0 out of a 95 xj in my 94 yj. Been running into little problems all day. Now i have the engine in the jeep still being supported by the hoist. I put the new motor mounts on the frame mounts and bolted it to the engine. For the last hour i have been tryng to position it so that both frame mounts sit flat against the frame. I have the passanger side on and c-clamped so it can't move away but the driver side will not sit rite. when i hold up the mount the way it is supposed to sit it is about an inch and a half away from the frame. It looks like the motor mount bracket that is hooked to the 4.0 needs to be longer. It actually is long enough but the bolt hole is too far towards the engine. What am i doing wrong?
