Mounting a 50" led bar

Do yall think this is a good way to mount a 50" bar? Im waiting on my bar and im trying to think of a good way to mount it across the top of my windshield.

Im thinking of putting a piece of 1/8 angle along the side of the windshield gasket with about 6x 3/8 stainless steel pop rivets each side. Then to bridge the gap between the ends of the bar and the angle weld in a piece of round stock with the correct size bolt hole drilled through. Sound solid enough?

You know they make brackets just for things like this right?

I'd look into the mounts and if too pricey, copy them. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Very few companies offer brackets for a YJ to mount a 50" bar but they are out there me they are the best install option as jerry rigged mounts don't flatter your light much.

Get a roof rack and attach it to the basket.

That's what I plan to do if Carlos ever needs desert testing done.

"50" light bar" and "good" is an oxymoron.

Seriously now though, I think those big brackets wouldn't look too good, you'd need something cleaner.

Depending on your metal skills custom doesn't equal "jerry rigged"

I think he is referencing what a good portion of people consider "custom"

Plumbers tape and roof flashing. Or Home Depot L brackets.

I'll need a better image of your light bar. from here with my old eyes it looks like you mounted a rock slider along the top edge of your windshield frame.
