Motorcraft carb swap

Im looking to upgrade to a motorcraft 2100 or 2150 carb,
was wondering if one is better than the other, i live in California so
i neeed to smog it. i was thinking of converting to manual choke if i do this upgrade
and im looking for any info on how it works. also wondering of which air filter i would need to fit on the carb, and i would also like to know what ways there is to either fabricate the throttle linkage or replace the throttle cable with one thaat works.
thanks ahead of time for the feedback,

There's a guy on ebay that sells rebult MC carbs just for jeeps. He also has an emssions version. They will hook up to yout throttle cable, there a direct bolt on. He can also do a manual choke version, he can build them the way you want and the carbs are totally rebuilt with all new parts.

Yes you'll need to nutter, and i recommend doing this swap yourself and save about 200$ from the ebay rip off.
Check my sig for a link to my install that has all the part numbers for the adapter plate and air filter, even the jets and rebuild kit.
The 2150 is the one you want if you want to run the smog stuff as it has more vacuum line ports.
