Motor mounts

How can you tell when your mounts are going bad. I hear a slight clunk noise whenever i take off. sounds like its coming from the front. I'm not certain but i don't think its suspension related.

put a jack under the motor(with a piece of wood to cushion), see if it moves alot. Also look for dry rot, cracks etc etc. Usually when there bad, they will sit all the way to one side(front or rear) cause the rubber wears out.

Check all of your drive shaft ujoints.

If you have the auto (I see you do). Get a buddy or someone to crank the jeep and shift from Drive to Reverse. You'll see the motor mount jump if it has come apart. But for the most part they are easy to tell when they are bad. The metal sleeve usually has separated from the rubber.

Yep, 3 bolts..1 from the top, 1 from the bottom, the long one through the middle that holds em to the engine brackets. Do em one at a time, with a jack under the motor.
