more power from yj?

Has anyone removed the reducer from inside the air tube on their 4.0l for increased power? just read about the mod in a magazine and was wondering if it had any effect, good or bad?

I learned that from www.jeepyj.net and I can feel the differience . Also I still get the same crappy miles per gallon. Only thing is I have a 2.5l not a 4.0l.

I removed the one in the neck of the air box and the one in the front of the air box and I felt a difference in power
