misfiring

my 94 4 banger misfires extremely bad on first start up, esp in cold weather b/t 1300-2000rpms. and as it warms up it gets less and less but it still hesitates a little bit. i probably could use a tune up but i dont understand how it gradually gets less if its a tune up. could it be plugs wires and all that still if it gradually goes away as it warms up?

The cap could have moisture in it and dry's out while its running and would start running. Just an opinion.
