Mirror relocationing brackets dont work as listed

I bought a set of brackets to relocate my mirrors but They don't work on the yj mirrors. The reason is the YJ mirrors are a brake away style which has a pin or wavey design at the bottom of the mirror bracket that works with a spring to hold them in position until you fold your mirrors in. The brackets do not have any provision to utilize this and because the mirrors have this the bolt is to short to go all the way through the bracket. http://lgcdn.jeep4x4center.com/media...01-bm_1017.jpg
Has anybody else seen this issue am I missing something?

Looks like the brackets you have were made to work with CJ style mirrors.

Like these.

The ones I have have "ears" welded to the bracket that your supposed to mount your mirrors onto slightly different then what your pic is showing. After finding out these wouldn't work I ordered the CJ style mirrors instead.
