Everything should fit, they are virtually identical engines save for a couple sensors and the fuel delivery system. When it comes time to get the brackets for the power steering system, just tell them it's an 89. DO NOT try to explain that it's an 87 with an 89 engine or you will get a run around, and more than likely the wrong parts. I believe the intake is slightly different for carb to f.i., but I will defer that to someone with a 2.5 that has done the swap themselves.

Actually, theres not difference that I can tell between an 87 and 89 2.5. I used to have an 87 along side with my 90 and didn't find any differences between the two.
