maybe fuel pump does not work...

Hi guys , howdy!
My jeep is not working...the engine cranks but it does not fire up...
from the gas tank comes a "noise"like a "biiiip"...straight and keeps going... , i guess is the fuel pump.
usually "we" ear that "noise"for few seconds, when turning the keys, the fuel pump get in the pressure...
now that noise keeps going and going....

My questions are : could be the fuel pump ? does any one here experienced the same issue........??

thanks..
btw, today i went to work with the bus....

you need to check for fuel pressure at the rail. There is a little valve under a metal cap. You can push it and check to see if fuel squirts out. Also when was the last time you filled up?

Hi, the problem started after i filled the tank....at a NEW gas station by my workplace....
COULD BE A COINCIDENCE TOO....
I got home, and when i restarted the jeep to go out....the problem began...

I pulled the hose on the throttle body, and when tried to start the jeep, the fuel got out from that hose...and that noise was still going......and its right there from the gas tank....
The valve you said is under the gas tank cap ?
I have to take the tank off or would I be able to reach it with the tank on the jeep.....?

Try pouring a small amount of fuel down the throttle body and see if it starts; if it fires and then dies, that means you have spark but no fuel. If nothing, you have a spark issue. Since you can hear the pump, that means the control circuitry for it is good, and either you have a badly clogged fuel filter, or the pump needs to be replaced.

is it more like a high/low pitched whine from the fuel pump? Have you checked for spark yet? You can try what EABiker says.

The "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" from the fuel tank may be a pump with the impeller broken off, and the fuel in the line may just be residual from the last time it worked!

I'd start PB blaster treatment on the fuel tank strap bolts!

the gas tank in new.... changed it 3 month ago...
the fuel goes out only if i crank the motor....
"I've unscrewed the fuel line from the TB,than "cranked"the motor...and fuel went out from the fuel line....and stopped only when i cranked off the engine.....

does it act like it wants to start (sputtering shaking motor) or is it just turning over and over.

Have you changed spark plugs recently, if so check your wires again to make sure. Ask me how I know.

Sounds like possibly bad, dirty, disconnected CPS?
