Mall Crawler

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to post my thanks for all your help here! I have been lurking and gleaning all the info I can so I thought I would share the fruits of my labor.
I live in the Cayman Islands so there are no rocks to crawl or hills to climb but there is plenty of sun and can go with a soft top pretty much all year round.

I bought a jeep a few months ago when I moved here and tweaked it out visually and wish I had some true before pictures to show but only thought about it when I got the paint job done.

Here you go and let me know your thoughts!

Nice jeep. May not have rocks to crawl or hills to climb but come on you are in the Caymans. Sounds like a decent option.

It's the Rugged Ridge 7" flares from Quadratec - would have loved the bushwackers but the price was to low on these to beat, heres the link: http://www.quadratec.com/products/12510_503_07.htm

Thanks for the great comments - was a little 'fraid I would get flamed by the trail guys...maybe when I move back to the states I could do this again, alwasy wanted a tricked out Jeep. Hope that a 2" lift kit will go on at some point as the suspension system is not so hot. Shocks look like they have never been touched.

Martin - Seems like it is guaranteed to rain at least once a day here, hasn't rained for the past week or so though.
Sunny and 80's most every day!

Looks great. Was that black before the paint? I vote for thet 2" lift you are thinking of. Set it apart even more and have a blast.

No need to get flamed for not having a trail rig. If you bought it so that you could remove the doors and go topless then have fun. not everyone likes to destroy their Jeeps as much as me. That's why wranglers are so great, perfect for anyone's needs, 'cept maybe an econut, bricks usually don't do well fuel wise.

That is a clean looking Jeep BTW, all I get up here are rust buckets in need of surgery.

Put the same flares on mine with the same factory side step, real fun cutting the step flare in the rear to make them look right isn't it I thought it was easier to cut the steel rather than the flare.

Funny you mention the hurricanes - I hear flooding is quote common down here so I thought that this would come in handy for the storms.
Knock wood there won't be another Hurricane Andrew anytime soon, pretty much wiped everything out.
Cool thing is MPG don't really make a difference here cause even at US 6.XX per gallon you still only fill up every two weeks or so.
Nirvana for Jeeps I call it. (for those of us happy tooling around topless anyways!)
I promised the girlfriend no more cash into "feeding the habit" for a while now so the lift will have to wait...
