Hey, it's a work in progress. Lots of us are in the same boat and at different stages with our POS.

That's what I like about JF, never a dumb question. Go ahead and ask it, someone has been there. Everyone's willing to help. By the looks of it, you've broken the ice already! I'm still waiting to pull the trigger on a SOA, and the members of this forum have given me the information needed to get it done right.

Got the rest of the hardware out of the tub today. Those hex bolts were really a bad idea...took an hour just to get one out. We cut most of the bad metal out and plan to weld in some new stuff in this weekend. Windshield frame is on the way and I'm planning to shoot the tub with bedliner next week. We've got a pickup bed to shoot, so we will already have the liner mixed up. Going to tear into the motor and exhaust next weekend. Ive got a feeling this jeep is going to be bad for my wallet I've got some pics, but will wait till we get new metal in before i post em.

What the intended use of your Jeep? Trail Rig, Daily, or somewhere in between? I've seen some guys start of with a lot worse as far as rust goes and bring it back to life. Hope the restoration goes well. Keep posting some pics.

I'd say its intended use is going to be "somewhere in between". We go down to the beach alot to fish in the summer and hunt during the winter. So it will be used a lot for that but then its just a cool vehicle just to go run errands in town too!!! I kinda tore off in different directions tonight. Cleaned up the passenger side cutouts in the floor and buffed out a few rusty spots. Hit the rusty spots with a rust killer called Phosphro?? Anway...heres a few pics of when we were cutting out the old metal. Ill take some more pics tomorrow.

Keep posting your pics with the [img] link in photobucket like you did in the first post. That way we can quote you and they will show up. You can't post pics until you have at least 50 posts and have 30 days. I fixed it for you this time.
