Low idle once warmed up a bit.

95 4.0
So I had a thread regarding my light bar and ran into a few issues that I thought were resolved. I figured I would make a new thread with a new title to gain the appropriate attention.
After installing the light bar and fixing the ground and battery wire issues I still have this low idle problem.
What was happening is after the jeep warms up, not quite OT. My idle would drop to the point of almost stalling. I'm sure it would have if I had not given it some gas.
So I did some looking and I cleaned the IAC with throttle body cleaner. As per instructions.
So the jeep cooled off a bit and I thought my problem was gone, after about 5 mins of driving it came back. I am just sitting here with it idling now and it seems alright. So I don't know if the TBC just had to work it's way in. But this is where my idle sits now. And it's a little rough. Vibrates the whole jeep every couple of seconds. There's a pattern to it for sure. Thanks again for any help.

Update:
Pulled the IAC. Cleaned and reinstalled.
Jeep did the normal till about half way to OT.
Then the rpms dropped to the little line between 1000 and nadda. And sounded like it was going to pass out. Have it some gas and she was fine after that. Is this signs of the IAC going out the door? Any advice would be appreciated.

Was it doing this before you added the lights?

Not that I am aware of. It's hard to say for sure because for the past month after my engine swap. I've gone out, started the jeep then I've come back inside. It's never stalled though. I've always missed the area that it seems to do it. I only noticed it now because I took the jeep out before it warmed to OT. I'll see what it does in a few mins, I'm about to head out to start it and I'll hang out and watch it.

Okay, so it did it when I got to work, so the jeep was warmed up 100%. Only did it while moving slowly backing into a stall. And it was very mild. Wasn't near stalling. I'm going to keep an eye on it after work and see what happens. I took the highway to work today so I didn't have any stops or a lot of shifting. I tried to coast as often as I could. But rpms stayed normal. I'll go through town after work and see if it does it at any lights etc.

Did you reset the ecu after cleaning the IAC?

Negative.
Didn't cross my mind. I'll give that a shot at lunch and see what happens. Thanks.

Okay, so I took the terminals off and tapped them together a couple of times. And let it sit for a couple of minutes. Almost didn't do it on the way home. Just barely and only once. So I'll see how it goes in the morning.

My 5.2 is doing the exact same thing. Starts fine but as it warms, the idle begins to get rough and it eventually dies. Mechanic has it now and he is stumped as well. Please let me know if you come up with a solution.

I finally got a chance to reset the comp. I worked through my lunch again today. I'm just letting it cool down right now and then I'll take it for a spin. It's never started up that easily after the computer has been taken off before though. Normally have to give it some gas and it's a bit burpy. Not a stutter at all. You got the 318? I used to have a 96ZJ with the magnum V8. Loved that thing. Anyway, I'll keep posting what I find.

So far just throttle body and o2 sensors. Not sure what the mechanic has tried. I'll be honest, Im not a big gear head, especially on the electronic side. So my ideas for remedies are limited.

So it didn't do it last night or this morning after the reset. I'm going to keep an eye on it for a bit still. I take the highway to work and through town after, so there's a chance I could have missed when it does it. So I'll try after work again. Thanks for the help.

Fingers crossed. How bad were the IAC and throttlebody when you cleaned them?
