I'd get a flowmaster 50 delta

it gives you that deep V8 rumble, not too loud

also it removes back pressure and all that crap, like a 8hp gain

but it's not cheap runs like a tad bit over 100 $

Drill some holes in your muffler. Mine sounded like a monster with the muffler rusted out.

But really though, you can't beat a cherry bomb, cheap and effective. I had them on my trucks and they all sounded pretty good.

was the muffler rusting out bad for the car? hurt the engine? i heard that too little back pressure will burn up the rings and cause the piston to get ruined

If you've got your jeep lifted more than 5 inches I would not suggest using a cherry bomb exhaust.

Police are fairly forgiving, but having a cherry bomb exhaust sitting 4 1/2 feet eye level from their drivers side window isn't so pleasing

Wait.... you just want your exhaust louder?

Oh.

If you just want it louder poke some damned holes in the muffler and be done with it. But you're not gaining anything (except decibles) from doing so, and that is not only pointless, but fairly inconsiderate to those around you.

Spend $20 and get a Thrush Turbo muffler. They provide a fairly deep/throaty sound, but don't sound like someone farting on a snare drum at idle.

I may sound like I'm being rude here, in which case I am - and it's totally out of charactor for me to do so. But there are 300 million people out there besides you that probably wouldn't appreciate having to sit next to you in traffic listening to your Jeep fart... me being one of them.
Sorry

Oh.
I was thinking the same thing.

Sounds like his objective isn't to make the exhaust less restrictive, or to improve gas mileage, but rather just to simply draw attention to himself.

There's the average Jeeper.. and then there's people like this:

Sorry, that guy just annoys me

Trying not to be rude, but that's my opinion

hey, to each his own. im not trying to piss people off either or get the sound of "farting on a snare drum" i was just lookin for something that sounds nice just while putting out a little more sound. it kinda seems like, from what everyone has said, that i can either keep it how it is now which is nice or make it totally obnoxious and make people mad. should i keep it how it is?

if you already have a flowmaster then yeah that's about as loud as your gonna get without it getting annoying to other people.

If you are looking for something that sounds nice, then the loudness comes with it. But loudness on its own is annoying.
The truth is, any cheap "turbo" muffler will make it louder without necessarily making it obnoxious. I think the Thrush Turbo muffler is a great bang for the buck.
But you already have a flowmaster? That should be plenty nice IMO.
