Lost power in my yj

Was on the freeway yesterday and lost power in my throttle suddenly then i tried braking then the brakes seized up. The engine was still running and the electrics still worked. I smelled smoke, i dont know what happened.

Yeah that happens when you lose power to the throttle. Please reread what you posted and help us see what you are saying and asking...

when you say the brakes seized up do you mean the pedal was really hard to push or that the wheels stopped turning and you slid to a stop?

It sounds like you lost brake power assist when the engine died.

You need to provide more detailed information about what happened before, during and after.

I lost power on my 4.0 so I fixed it by building a stroker.

No more power loss !!
