Loss of Power during warmup

My '95-96 4.0L runs extremely poor during the first five minutes of warm up, and runs perfectly after that. I hooked it up to a Snap-On computer while it was running poorly and the computer showed no codes. Has anyone had any experiences like this?

This is a '95 or '96 4.0L out of a Grand Cherokee that I swapped into my '84 CJ. It ran great at first, and now this.

Any help is appreciated.

You might want to double-check with the folks in the Engine's Section ..

I would start with a compression test on all the cylinders to make sure that they are all functioning properly (test cold, re-test hot)

The next thing I would check is the power coming out of the coil and all the connections around it.

Next I would check the injectors - are they clean? Is the fuel regulator on the return line to the tank working properly.

Do you have a worn throttle-body, or a vacuum leak?
