The best thing I can suggest without seeing what you're working with is to make sure you have all the frame parts you're supposed to have and they are all installed correctly. When I got mine from the previous owner, one of the rear spreaders was broken and the frame was not putting the right tension on the canvas. The part was $40 at the dealer, but about $11 from JC Whitney... guess where I got mine!? Make sure everything is installed correctly also - fully erect, so to speak. 8^)

Good luck

PS... it's summer and you're in California, take the top OFF and worry about it in the fall!

I went and bought some black foam from the local craft store and stuffed it inbetween the back support pole and the top (back left and right corners) and now there is no smacking from the rear windows, as for the front, I don't drive on the highway with one window down, they both have to be down or not at all to equal the flow I guess.
Is that you John Wayne, is this me!
