looking tires&rims

Im going to buy new tires and rims for my YJ, I am sure i will go with 31" BFG's but I am not sure of what rim I need. Do I need an off-set rim ? if so how much? I dont what my tires to stick out a mile... but i dont what them to rub my frame either.

I've got the 31 x 10.5 BFG AT's with 15 x 8 in rims from AMerican Racing (Tailgunners.) When I first got the tires I couldnt afford the rims and there was about a half turn limit on the turning radius. Once I got the rims, I got all my turning radius back and there is just a bit of rubbing on the rear fenders now when I go over bumps and stuff. Nothing serious though and if you are considering any kind of lift then you will definitely not have any problems. I got it all set up at NTB for about the same price as some of the wheel/rim sets you see online.

Oh yeah so to answer your question there is no frame rubbing with the wider rims, and the tires dont stick out too far at all. Look spretty good I think. Sorry but no pics yet.

I have 31x10.5 BFG ATs on 15x8 American Racing AR-37 rims. There is no rubbing at all and the wheels only stick out a little bit past the flares. I do believe there is some offset in the rims but I am not sure how much.

There are very few aftermarket rims that match the offset of stock Jeep rims. There are also few aftermarket alloy rims that match the durability of OEM rims. I run 31x10.5's on stock steel factory rims. Just needed to adjust the steering stops a bit to prevent rubbing.
