looking for shocks for soa yj

I just did a soa with waggy springs all around on my YJ. IT is sitting on hp d60 and 14 bff. My stock shocks only have 6 in' travel and I want more, but dont want to go to high dollar shocks yet( out of budget). any suggestions

Best bet would be to measure for them and find some in your price range that have that measurement. A search will help you figure out how to measure if you need it.

Adopt your pets. Don't shop for them.

I would follow Mike's advice but contact a vendor here on the site and see what shocks they recommend based on the measurements you come up with. You don't want your shocks acting as a bumpstop or limiting strap.

Also, your idea of "high dollar" and others' may be significantly different.

My idea of high dollar is anything more than $100 each. LOL

Once you measure try Gabriel or monroes from autozone or oreillys they are a pretty good shock and ride better than my rubicon express shocks did and you can get them for $35 a piece.

Get some 5125's... they are less than 100 each. I ran them on my rig SOA on waggys for a long while. Great shocks on and off the trail. I got some remote reservoirs on the front and some 5150s on the rear now.

With that spring setup and stock shock mounts... you can get away with 12" travel in the front and 10" for the rears. Or if you put some MORE extenders in the rear you can run 12" in the rear too.
