looking for the power source for the fuel pump
recently picked up a 92 yj 6cyl inj. somebody cut the wiring harness under the drivers seat.the thing is the back half of the harness goes to the fuel tank sender and one plugs into the tranny, seeing that the harness was cut under the drivers cockpit im not sure where the final destination for those wires are supposed to go to the power source.does anyone know if they go to the ignition or the fuse box or both.i would assume they go to the ignition but im not postitve.also they stole the speedo and tach, would those wires might have been connected to the speedo and tach?any knid of feed back would be great.or if anyone knows where i can find a new harness from the fuel pump to the front would help to make it easier to figure out its destination.thanks scott.

They go to the fuse box under the hood. You have a fuel pump relay and a fuse. Under the lid of the fuse box, there should be a diagram of what is what.

No need to create a new thread. There are three wires for the pump/sender. Power for the pump comes from the fuel pump relay in the PDC and is a Org/Blk wire. The sender to the gauge in the dash is a Tan/Blk wire. The ground for the pump and sender is common and is a Blk/Yel wire and should terminate(ground) to the parking brake pedal mount in the cockpit under the dash. The other wires may be for the VSS/Speedo. Are the wires coming out of the rear of the transfercase cut as well?
