Looks aftermarket/previous owner installed. Do you have anything "extra" on the rig? Lights, that kind of thing....

Did you push it?????

the one that leads to nothing... is it just a stray wire or to a ground

do you have external lights or anything?? depending on the location of the wires it could be a selectable locker?

or it could just be a new button for the defrost

Ok, in all seriousness here, do you have a hard top at all?? Rear defroster ( that is the factory location for it) Do the same green wires come out into the engine bay at all?? Do they possibly go down to the axles??? Do you have an electric fan???

IF you get that extra wire hooked back up to the battery it will make your Jeep fly.

If there's enough room to wiggle the wires try having someone watch while you give them a minor push/pull. Would help if you knew roughly where they went - engine compartment or other side of the dash etc.

Also have someone check your lights at night while you toggle it. Could be something illicit like a brake light on/off switch or rear light shutoff.

Just don't have him sit in the passenger seat while you do it in case Joe Dillard is right

I suppose the easy way would be to call the PO and ask him.
