Lifted my Wrangler. Pics!
Well, exactly what the title says. I bought a 93 with 89k for about 600 bucks last winter. First thing that came to mind was a lift. So.... I sold my Cherokee and bought a lift (well and some other stuff). Picked up a 3.5 Black diamond Kit and a set or 31" cooper MT's. Kinda wish I went with 33"s but these work good on the highway and I still have 5th gear. Anyhow, got the lift done on a Saturday from 10-8 which doesn't seem to bad considering I was using hand tools. Tell me what you guys think.

Looks good bro!
Any vibes when driving? Looks like you didn't do a TC drop. And with the tires, I've learned that no matter what tires I buy, I always wish i went one size bigger once they're mounted zim

Thanks for the compliments guys! First, no I didn't do the tc drop, but yeah I do have some serious vibes. There is a good amount of rust under there and one of the bolts snapped, so I stopped. Last night at my work I heated them up real good and got the others loose, so now I have to drill the one and drop it. Fun Times!
and yup, I live in Pittsburgh. Check out www.pghoffroad.com. You will find me on there a good bit. |

wow, my brother and i took longer than that with a lift and air tools. his 91 had alot of rusted bolts. some snapped, and some needed to be cut. he went with a 4'' re lift and the new khumo 33/12.5s on 15'' black steels. looks great. nice job working on your back in the driveway, and with no help. i hate doing things by myself.

Nice YJ and you picked a good kit. The ride quality will be vastly better in about a month after you flex her and settle the springs out.
Time wise you were flying. Mine took forever with all the cutting I had to do. Props on that! She looks really nice hope you enjoy.

Looks nice.
One note. It looks like you put your front springs on backwards (can't tell about the rear). When a spring has a full military wrap at one end, that end should be mounted on the fixed end of the spring, not the shackle end. Helps resist bending the main leaf. |
