just take the bottom leaf out of the springpacks, you'll be much happier with them after that. you'll lose maybe an inch or so, depending on how old your springs are maybe a bit more. This is fact. THis is what i run and i am more than happy with how it rides on the street, and flex's on the trail. Ran a RE extreme duty on my previous yj and the comp's aren't as soft but it's close. Funny story, my RE kit was too stiff after the initial install, and when i called them (R.E. 1-877-367-7824) they recommended to take the bottom leaf out. Guess they're not "engineered to work together" either. But the webwheelers are right, procomp's junk so just throw them away and spent a G on a real lift cause like them y'all got that layin round.

what do you have your shackles torqued to? 90 ft-lbs as specs say? if so then try replacing the bolts with grade 8's and get some matching nylon lock nuts. torque to 35-45 ft-lbs instead and try it out. then, find a nice steep rock or curb that you can park the jeep on overnight for 4 nights straight. 1 night per corner. stuff that tire as high as you can get it and then leave it like that overnight. if both of those still doesn't soften up the ride, you can try removing the leaf. personally, i would look into finding someone's old packs (or your own if you still have them) and replace one of the procomp leaves with the matching leaf from the old pack. you may have to do a little drilling to the old leaf to get it to fit, but you should be able to fine tune the ride that way. though with 4" of lift it might not be possible since the stock packs ride flat. still, worth a shot though and it would help keep the lift from sagging too much. just don't try replacing the main leaf, that wouldn't work too well

drex, all springs are made to work as a pack. the difference between RE and Procomp is in how fine tuned it is to the rig its designed for. each leaf contributes to the overall spring rate of the entire pack. length, thickness, number of leaves and metal alloy all play a part in the spring rate. your extreme duty packs though were probably designed for a heavier rig. they're geared more for the rigs with 3/16" thick bumpers. tire carriers, rocker guards, beefed up skids and 300 lbs of trail gear. by the time you load all that on the jeep you've added like 1500lbs to it.

hardtop, steel full doors, 1/4" angle rocker guards, rock crusher frt bumper, crusher rear w/carrier, 5 spare shafts, spare starter n alternator, maybe 60lb of tools...yeah i'd say she was 1500lb over stock. R.E. extreme still rode like a rock before i took out the bottom leaf.
