Yeah, they fit on the jeep sliders. The seats still function as normal.

seats similar to stock height and other info

I've been combing through the threads and I still have unanswered questions.

1. What makes (cavs, sunfire, mustangs, etc) and their years are a direct bolt in swap.

2. How close are they to the stock height?

3. What aftermarket seats are close to stock height ( I know Bestop is high).

Thanks for the help.

I have an 89 YJ.... by the way.

1. Not sure of the exact years but when I was digging thru the junkyard it seemed all the mid to late 90's Cav's had the same seat set up. I think the 2000+ models might have changed. I didn't see any Mustang's to look at where I went.

2. I measured everything on the stock seat before I went to the yard. The Cav seats, and the Olds seats that I got, were all within a 1/2" of each other. I don't have any issues with getting in/out. I might still get a new steering wheel with a smaller diameter and get rid of the school bus wheel that is stock.

3. No knowledge of aftermarket stuff, too cheap!!!

The best advice I can give you is measure everything on your stock seat and then go the yard and poke around and see what you can find. I'm pretty sure all the GM cars took a 13 mm deep socket to free them up from the car.

cavalier seats in yj

i did this yesterday they took me about 45 minutes to install ..they bolt right up on the stock jeep risers ....you do not even have to take the risers outa the jeep just take the 4 torx bolts off by sliding the seat back and forth to get to them and take the old seat off\out and reinstall the new one ...got these at the junk yard out of a 99 cavalier and also they had half price day at pick-your-part so i go then for 45 bucks out the door ...went home and used the carpet cleaner and wala here are some pics of them in my jeep ...they are mabe and inch or so higher then the stockers but then again the stock one are like flat ....also it feels like you might loos an inch on the drivers side when you have it slid all the way back ..but then again now you have some padding under your @ss...check out the pics

Maybe try a seat from an extended cab Ranger. I have a 84 extended cab Ranger and the seats tilt forward for entry into the rear.

It does sound awfully convenient but I think a Jeep with a bench seat would feel kind weird to me.
