LED issues!!! HELP!!

Been working on a 91 YJ and installed LED tail lights and blinkers, i have a LED flasher in it and have resistors at all 4 corners. When i turn on the blinkers all 4 lights blink, when the brakes applied they work normally. im stumped and haven't been able to find any info on it.

if you have an electronic flasher (EL-12 I think?) then there's no need for the additional resistors you mentioned. I'm not saying that's necessarily the cause of your problem, but no sense having it there.... it might clear it up, but if not, at least that's one thing you can knock off the list to check.

Ive checked a lot off the list haha, we started with the electric/LED flasher-nothing, then the load equalizer-nothing. So now im stumped. It all worked fine before the LED by the way.

did you check the polarity on the lights? LEDs can't be wired backwards the way a regular filament bulb can

Im 99% sure polarity is right, brake lights and running light work fine.

If it all lights up, then polarity is correct. Something else is wrong. These Jeeps are extremely finickey about LEDs

Draw up a wiring diagram and post it on here. There are a few electrical types around...some who work with automotive LEDs for a living

If more than one light is coming on at a time chase the grounds first you may be getting some feedback. I know mine were bad and had to be cleaned up bare metal works best.

this is the flasher we're using---Littelfuse Blister Pack - Electronic Flasher

What if i were to add diodes into the positive side of the circuit?

Diodes allow current to flow in only one direction. If you orientate them in the proper way you can put them on the negative side and get the same result.

When I installed my LED brake lights and LED reverse lights, I just spliced them in to the harness--no diodes/resistors/or flasher relay change. I don't believe the lights had anything special built in, and they just worked correctly, regular speed. I did have a few ground issues, but that resulted in them not lighting at all, rather than too many lights lighting.

What brand of lights were they? There are still a lot of LED lamps that do have resistors built into them, then there are the cheap ones (like from HF) that people around here cheap out on then get all sorts of issues because of the current draw.

Depends on which lamps you buy. Don't cheap out, and do your research first.

thats what we did, just spliced them in..then came the flasher, then the equalizers, the only thing is we dont have reverse lights at all.
