Leaking Exhaust Manifold Gasket???

I have a 94 w/ 2.5L, 5spd, 63,000 miles. I just had the muffler replaced and the shop said I may be needing a new exhaust manifold gasket soon. Is this common?

I know the 4.0 has a history of cracks in the manifold, but have never heard of a 4cyl gasket leaking.

Thanks in advance!

On a 1994 Jeep? I think its a little early for the gasket to be going .. especially with the low miles enjoyed by your beastie ..

Check the bolt closest to the firewall, they have a nasty tendency to back off and then snap. Requiring you to then drill the bastage out (or use an easyout) and it sounds like the manifold is shot. Check the bolts and torque 'em up.
