It seems to be coming from right plate that only has about 8 screws holding it in. Is that the front seal? It only drips when the engine is running and it seems to be coming out of the bottom of the seam of that plate. Any ideas?

The plate you are looking at is a dust cover, the front seal is the seal aroud the input shaft of the tranny, behind the tourqe converter. It is not a fun job and it sounds like it might be a job for a mechanic.. I pulled my tranny to install an SYE in the tc while it was out took it to a shop to have it overhauled. 120,000+ mi. and had a 1st gear shudder. That comes with new seals

Mine was leaking from the top (shift selector seal) but it dripped down to the bottom of the bellhousing like you picture shows. Is that the only wet spot or is the pan wet too?

just an added point. If it is sitting there for a few days no fluid leaks. As soon as you turn it on it drips a i little and spits out then it is done. If i shut of ignition and restart usually the there is no more fluid leaking. It is almost as if it is leaking internally somewhere while it is sitting and then when you turn it on after awhile it spits it out. Does that make sense?

Could be coming out of the dipstick housing on passanger side. When any auto sits the fluid in the tourqe converter slowly drains into the pan, check the tube where it is installed into the transmision case, otherwise back to the front seal
