Leaking!

Gotta question guys! Whenever it rains hard (which it did today), my passenger side floorboard resembles a small pond. The only place I think the water can be coming from is the vent grate on by the hood. If anybody has, or had this problem and fixed it, any suggestion would be most appreciated.

My '93 YJ did the same thing. There is a drain tube coming out of the vent box in front of the windshield. The tube comes off the firewall on the passenger side. Mine was full of trash (pine needles, tulip poplar seeds, etc.). Squeeze the bottom of it and shake the trash out. When the vent area fills with water it drains in on your floorboard through the fresh air outlet on the passenger side.

I got a leak from my soft top that drips in right past the dash and onto the floor, water gets in where the end of the door/and windshield meet the soft top (up by the roll bar)...not sure if thats the case w/ yours.

I know this might be silly but if you guys still have your carpets on you might want to check under it, my Jeep had a drain hole open and the water was getting in from under my Jeep, I don't know why it wouldn't come out the same way,

Just my 43.25 colones (about $0.02)

My Jeep also leaks pretty bad into the interior .. and I found that most of the leak was between the windshield and the hard-door. I think that replacing my windshield hinges may fix part of the problem, and possibly some sticky-back foam weather stripping will fix it totally.
