Just Got A Smokin Deal On A Built Yj

the jeep gods have smiled upon me. a buddy of mine that lives in the neighborhood traded this samurai for a jeep project, because the guy had lost his job and couldnt finish it.

he spent 4 months working day and night on it, and its been finished about two weeks.

he decided suddenly he wants this other sammie, so he sold it to me for a price i couldnt refuse.

it was taken down to the frame , sandblasted, 100% POR-15 on everything

350tbi 92 1/2 ton chevy with ported tbi
freshly rebuilt 700r4 trans with xtra clutches, new performance valve body, and new torque converter w/1800rpm stall
custom shifter (one shifter controls both the transfer and the transmission)
custom NP231.... 231amc case, but used np231c bigger chain and planetary gears, and 27 spline input shaft.
SYE
cv rear driveshaft
ford 8.8 rear
front dana 30
new rubicon express tj skid plate
new rubicon express brake lines
new rubicon express 1.5" lift springs
SOA
new chrone rims
new procomp 35" tires (still have nubbies on tread)
new billstein shocks
completely new brakes front and rear
completely new joints in suspension
rock lights on front frame
led flush rear brake lights
custom warn style front bumper
new fuel cell replacing back seat

heres the build thread on it.

http://teamxtrm.hyperboards.com/inde...id=543&start=1

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT! i forgot these pics were on the web...

heres the jeep- frame off- sandblasted, por-15... and the brand new rims and tires. they still have the nubbies on the tread right now too...

advance adapters motor mounts, and np231c and np231amc that had sex so that my custom t-case could be born lol.

motor mount installed

front

motor in

custom shifter.... ill take a video of it in action...

EVERYTHING including exhaust is tucked up as far as it will go, and protected by a tj re skid plate, so that later if i go with a long arm kit, half of the works already done.

custom front bumper- painted with 2 part marine epoxy

its strange... i saw how he built it, and ive used it a few times myself, but i cant begin to explain it lol.

basically its a floor shifter. you move it to one side to control the automatic tranny, and to the other side to control the transfer case.

ill take pics.

its bad ***.

It does sound trick.

Custom made job, or something he bought?

1. sorry about not getting pics yet. its in my buddies garage (he has air tools, welder, grinder, etc.) still because i dont have room for 3 vehicles at my house. im going over there 1st thing in the morning and if i can get in (hes out of town spending my 3000 on a samarui AND a rokee!!) i will post up some pics. for now youll have to do with the origional build thread... see the first post... theres pics there from when he built it.

i also have a pic of me learning to weld on something c-clamped to the frame of it lol.

and heres a pic of it the FIRST time it saw the light of day... we rolled it out of the garage in order to pull in a JK and custom fab some crazy *** rocker guards. for some reason with these guards you literally have to cut a bunch of sheet metal off the body. not my cup of tea, especially since the dude payed like 600 bucks for them. but hey, hes got the cash lol.

it has headlights and in this pic the hood was just sitting on it because it was raining.. so it looks crooked. at this point there was no steering, we rolled it out and then right back in

2. i have no idea if its been done before. one of my buddies said he has seen it done in a magazine, but i personally have never seen it. its pretty bad ***.

oh and wait till you see the list of extra **** im getting with this thing as well... since hes getting back into the sammie thing he wants all the jeep stuff out of his garage... extra flairs, extra rear end, transmission, gears, grill, wheels, skid plate, all kinds of crap.

this was such a good freakin deal. im not trying to brag, im just still in shock.

see the first thread for more pics and a little rundown of the build on it..
