Just got a 93' Sahara

So I just bought this YJ. Never really wanted one until I saw this one. Looks nice. Not sure how much lift it has. But it's running on 33's. Rides great and has on;y 100K on the odometer. And it's an auto so I think that is a plus.

Is there anything I need to know about this model? And any info on this model will be great. I'm used to TJ's. So, this is all new to me. Thank you.

where did you buy that? was that one craigslist here in town? man, thats a looker.

my wife had a 93 sahara. we never had any trouble with it. we sold it with just under 200k on the jeep. drove it all over texas and it even still had working ac.

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.

x2. Living that close to the gulf I'd pull that thing off immediately, even if all looks OK under there. Great looking YJ by the way.

nice yj sahara. the lift looks like a 4" suspension lift from rough country. their 1 of the only companies that have spring clamps like that. should be spring numbers on springs to verify the type of lift

since its a auto dont go deep in water or the trans will fill up with water unless you drill and run a new breather hose and weld the old one up, there is a DIY around here somewhere. mine was auto and i just swapped to 5 speed.

is that pic over in annaville? thats an awful lot of trees in one spot and i know we don't have any areas like that in the bluff.

don't take it to the beach!!!! its to good looking to ruin on the beach.

also, there has been some guy selling a 95 hardtop on craigslist for a few weeks now, if you are interested in getting a hardtop for the winter

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.

WOW that's a nice one. It would easy get $8500 up here in the Rust Belt.

The YJ's are pretty sturdy old-style tech. You can beat on them like an old farm truck and they hold up.

You can really smooth out the ride by removing the track bars on the YJ. Since it has leaf springs it doesn't need them to hold the axles in. Taking out the track bars makes them flex much better too.

As always, pay attention to the vacuum, electrical grounds, and general tune-up.

You don't need any code scanner to get the computer codes on these. *Everything* is owner-fix-able. Here's a video that shows how to check the computer:

Hope that helps, Welcome to the YJ club!

My guess is a 2 1/2" lift with the Bushwackers making the room for the 33s. If it was a 4" kit he'd have room for 35s with the Bushwackers
