Jeeppsycho223 build thread

So i have had my jeep now for about 3 years now and it is finally in my name (my dad bought it up front). He would not for any reason let me lay a wrench to it in case he wanted to sell it. As of yesterday she is mine to do with what i want. The following pictures are of what i did earlier today and will be posting more later as i work into the night. I intend to work at 125% until i either break one of my knuckles or break my wallet ill do my best to keep you all updated.

Here is my photobucket account link to where i will be uploading all of my pictures. http://s644.photobucket.com/albums/uu162/Jeeppsycho300/

here is what i started with

after a week of scraping with my fingers at stop lights

got the seats out

decided to step things up a notch

who needs a wheel puller?????

this stuff is hard to get out

after two coats of primer

Looks like it is coming along good. A wire wheel and a grinder would help you a lot, just make sure you wear face and eye protection.

i had read around online some before i started and people were saying that was a bad idea because then with the left over residue the new liner wont stick well. plan to get some red led's for the dash and some KC slimlights tomorrow.

P.S. using the torch makes the paint come up also

Bad way to pull a steering wheel. That way pulls on the entire column instead of just the wheel itself.

Wonder how old that bedliner is, and how many coats they did.

well i can tell you that he did absolutely no prep work for the job and it was not applied evenly at all and he decided to go ahead and go over every single bolt screw and nut that he could with the stuff

its about 5 years old if i had known it would be like this i would have paid him not to do it
