hi guys, i am picking up my first ever wrangler in two weeks, its a 1993 yj 4.0 high output wrangler, and i want to put a leather interior in it, however i am on a tight budget, is there any other interiors from other cars i might be able to use, for instance maybe the cherokee????
also is thereany mods i can do to cut fuel costs??? will be using it mostly for around town and to the beach, and need better fuel economy if possible!!
thanx a lot for looking and please dont hesitate to reply, lol.

try using the search feature to search the YJ forum for the word seat or seats and see what comes up. you will likely have to narrow your search a little to weed out useless posts that don't pertain to your wants but perhaps adding "leather" or "vinyl" to the search string will help.

First of all welcome. There are interior seats you can swap in. A list was just on here last week in a thread. If you do a search you will find more but here is two. The search is your friend.

The 2nd has a list in the bottom
Oh, when you get the wrangler, update your profile as best as you can for easy help

although i've seen a few posts where people have installed leather into their jeeps, i don't see the point, wouldn't the leather just get ruined? myself, i run a bikini top all summer, i would think by the end of the season even with a bikini, the seats would be pretty fubared. any thoughts?

One of the guys I work with put a nice vinyl cover on his seats. What I mean is that he had someone recover them. They look like leather but function like vinyl.

not too worried about petrol costs, i think cream or gray leather looks amazing but if its a case of using vingy instead, might have to do that, was looking last night at replacement covers!! what u recon about getiing leather and using a vinyl over the top, when the roof is down etc??
