Unless it's a rust bomb, I'd take it for $2500.

The price seems to be in the right range. But it would depend on the condition of all the stuff you can't see in the picture.

Looks nice, careful on the rust though, you are in the rust-belt.

Must be nice to find deals like that. You cant find anything around here like that unless you happen upon a once in a lifetime deal. I picked up a 90 YJ with a 4 banger about a month ago for $5400. Granted it was lifted, had new tires, has a hard top and fairly low miles, it was the best deal I could find and I HAD to have a Jeep again. I love it though. Don't regret it one bit!

I looked at a few others and they had some rust along he floors (driver and passenger)...... is this acceptable or no? Is frame rust and body rust synonymous? I have a hard time telling what to look for when I get under the hood....

Sometimes, sometimes not. But if you have either, it's usually really bad.

If the body and frame are in really good shape then $2500 would be a very fair price assuming the engine runs well. The seller sounds like the type of person who wouldn't waste your time, so you might as well bring cash when you go to look at it; nice Jeeps don't last long.

Not a fan of the 4.2L, but like other are saying, if there is no frame or horrible body rust, that's a pretty good deal. Check the floor boards, under the carpet, where the roll cage is mounted, the shackles on the frame and the body mounts.
