Jeep tailgate

The tailgate on my 95 yj has quite a bit of rust along the bottom of it and it's time to replace it. Will any year YJ tailgate work on it? My jeep has the newer heavy duty hinges. Thanks.

All '87-'95 YJ tailgates are the same, regardless of hinge style.

Thanks Mean Max. That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure before I purchased a new (used) one. I found one on CL for $75. That sounds like a decent price, considering that a brand new one is over $200.

Welcome. Even CJ tailgates are the same, with the exception of the threaded inserts for the hinge location on the fold down CJ gate vs. the side swinging YJ gates.
