Jeep is stalling! I have no idea why

Lately i have been driving around in my YJ. and when I would come to a stop then give it a little gas to start moving the rpms would drop down, then go back up. It didn't seem like such a big deal. But now my jeep will stall out instead of the rpms going back up! The jeep will also always start back up after about 5 or 10 minutes. Im taking it to a mechanic monday, but i would like to get an idea what is happening.

Just a question. Have you "Seafoam'd" it?

Try some dry gas if you haven't already. If it just started doing this lately you might have ice build up.

Don't know much about the 4.0...but is sounds like your Idle Air Control valve has taken a large dump.

as a mechanic myself, i'd venture to say it could be a couple of things, IAC/TPS is most likely, if you've replaced those check your fuel filter (not sure if it's serviceable, mine is not), i've seen cars that crank and run fine until they get warm, die, and you can't crank them for an hour or so just due to the fuel filter putting too much strain on the fuel pump. If that doesn't do it, I may be able to help you if you can provide a little more info (what have you replaced recently, et al)
