Jeep shuts off after turning off AC?

It doesnt do it all the time but sometimes when I turn the AC off, the Jeep dies. It starts right up again after. Haven't seen any posts regarding this issue so I assume it isn't too common. Any possible issues here?

Probably the idle dropping too far or too quickly for the fuel/air delivery to keep up.

year and engine would help.

I'm guessing this happens only at idle, not while under load on the street or trails.

If yes, only at idle, you are looking at an Idle Air Sensor issue. It controls how much air to add to keep the Jeep idling.

Remove yours following the Field Service Manual you own, and clean it using Throttle Body cleaner (NOT BRAKE CLEANER) and also clean the throttle body hole for the sensor. If that cures it, you are done. If not, new IAS may be in order.
