I have owned the yj for over a year now. I traded my built zj for this jeep and when I did the trade I new I had alot of work ahead of me but I did it any way! I am far from done with my build but I feel It's going in the right direction now. I would't trade it for the world (my kiddos would kill me) the next big mod will be tera 4.1 t case, chromo shafts all the way around, full metal cloak armor and 37/12.50-15 pitbull rockers all coming in march.......so I could really use this win to help pay for my soon to be cloaks ......besides its my birthday this month!

My jeep started out as a mild built rig that was mostly just me fixing the PO's mistakes. It has been a way for me to channel my creative instincts and let me down the path of a degree in engineering. I work on it as much as I can and it saved me.
1995 Rio Grande
I got my YJ in a trade for my 1994 GMC K1500 about 4 years ago. I didn’t want to give up my 4wd but needed something more fuel efficient… what better than a 4banger jeep!! I drove it bone stock for about 7 months while I paid off some debt, and then the jeep bug hit, and fuel efficiency was out the window. It started with some 130watt spot lights, then some 30in mud tires. That was fun for about a year, but then I needed more. Then came the RE 4in kit, 33in KM2s with alloy 15x8’s, SYE and an XJ CV front drive shaft, had it shorted and beefed up for my new rear shaft. Some knick-knacks here and there: PSC stinger, Olympic rear tube bumper, engo9000 and a homemade winch plate, bumpin' stereo, TJ Rubicon flares, warn rocker sliders, and I modified bestop extend-a-trunk out of a TJ for a nice security tonneau, C-RES top, SOLID D30 cover, Ford Yellow top injectors and 4.0 TB, and Poison Spyder hood louvers. Of course I GOTTA add some thanks to the GF for her additions to the jeep

HIStory: Got the YJ while in college in 1992. Ten years later, she (Amy) basically sat for ~5 years, but I couldn't sell her. 2 years ago after a big (for GA) ice/snowstorm I had so much Fun driving her, I started doing repairs and wheeling, so now we both stay Dirty!
I drive too and back from all ORV trails -so far.
Cleans up well, but don't mind a another bump/scratch in the woods
I'm hands on and do everything myself.

I bought this jeep a little over 4 years ago and I have been slowly adding to it as time and money allow. All the work and bumpers were built by me in my own garage. I built this jeep to handle anything Montana terrain can throw at it and the occasional trip to Moab. When I was in high school my dad and I built up a CJ5 from the ground up it was a great bonding experience for my Father and I. Now I have this jeep to slowly build up with my three Sons. It’s currently under the knife for a timing chain and oil pump should have it back up and running soon. Oh yea and a CJ front clip ha ha
